Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of aumphangan.com, the @AumPhanganBot Telegram bot, and any booking you make with AUM Sound Healing Center (“AUM”, “we”, “us”). By using the site, booking a session, or attending the venue, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site or book with us.

2. The services we offer

AUM is a wellness venue on Koh Phangan, Thailand. We offer:

• Sound healing, gong nights, ceremonies and breathwork — see /experiences.
• Sauna, ice bath and bathhouse rituals.
• Daily yoga classes.
• Multi-night retreats — see /retreats.
• Training and immersion courses — see /academy.
• Vegetarian restaurant and herbal shop — see /restaurant.

Programmes, prices and schedules change. The current schedule on /schedule and the confirmation we send you take precedence over any earlier marketing material.

3. Bookings and cancellation

A booking is confirmed when you receive a written confirmation from us by email, Telegram or through your account dashboard.

• Standard cancellation window for single sessions is 24 hours before start time.
• Special events (Gong Night, Soul Connection, SoulFire) and retreats have their own cancellation windows — these are stated in your confirmation and in our Refund Policy.
• No-shows forfeit the booking. We do not issue refunds for missed sessions unless you can provide a doctor's note (see Refund Policy).
• We reserve the right to cancel a session for safety, weather or low enrolment and to issue a full refund or credit.

4. Payment

Prices on the site are in Thai Baht (THB) unless otherwise stated. Some long programmes require a deposit at booking and the balance on arrival.

• Online card payments are handled by Stripe under their terms of service.
• We accept cash and selected QR-based local payments at the venue.
• Refunds are processed in line with our Refund Policy and returned via the original payment method.
• Late payment of a balance due may result in cancellation of your booking without refund of the deposit.

5. Health waiver

Sound healing, breathwork, sauna and ice bath are wellness practices, not medical treatment. They do not diagnose or cure any condition. By booking you confirm that:

• You have read the contraindications listed on /sound-healing-koh-phangan and the specific session page.
• You will tell us before the session if you are pregnant, have a heart condition, recent surgery, epilepsy, severe mental-health diagnosis, or are under the influence of alcohol or substances.
• For any of the above you have consulted a doctor and obtained their approval to attend.
• You take part voluntarily and accept reasonable physical and emotional risks associated with these practices.

Our staff may decline your participation if we believe it is unsafe. This is a safety decision, not a refusal of service.

6. Code of conduct at the venue

• Most ceremonies are sober events. No alcohol or recreational substances on the premises.
• Mutual respect for guests, facilitators and staff. Harassment, discrimination, unwanted touching or threatening behaviour results in immediate removal without refund.
• No audio or video recording inside ceremony spaces or during private therapies without explicit written consent from the facilitator and other participants.
• Phones on silent during all ceremonies and yoga classes.
• Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Children are not admitted to evening ceremonies.

7. Intellectual property

All content on aumphangan.com — text, photography, video, audio recordings, graphics, the AUM logo and brand marks — is owned by AUM Sound Healing Center or used under licence. You may not scrape, mirror, republish, or use this content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

You are welcome to share individual pages, quote short passages with attribution, and link to the site from your own. Press inquiries: aumsoundcenter@gmail.com.

8. Your content (reviews, photos, testimonials)

When you submit a review, testimonial, photo or other content to us (on the site, via Telegram, or by email tagged for public use), you grant AUM Phangan a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish, edit for length and clarity, translate, and use that content in our marketing — including but not limited to the site, social media, brochures and email.

You can ask us to take your content down at any time by emailing aumsoundcenter@gmail.com. We will remove it from our own properties within 30 days. Content already shared by third parties (re-posts, screenshots) is outside our control.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Thai law:

• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from a booking is capped at the amount you paid for that booking.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost earnings, lost opportunity, or emotional distress beyond what is foreseeable.
• Liability for physical injury at the venue is subject to Thai law and is not limited where such limitation would be unlawful (gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or other non-waivable rights).
• We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control (cyclones, floods, power cuts, government orders, pandemic measures, ferry disruption, etc.).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold AUM Sound Healing Center harmless from any claims, damages or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of any third party's rights.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. The courts of Surat Thani Province have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where you have non-waivable consumer rights under the law of your country of residence.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site, your account, or your bookings if you breach these Terms, breach our code of conduct, or behave in a way that endangers staff or other guests. In serious cases this may be without notice and without refund.

13. Severability and entire agreement

If any clause of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining clauses stay in force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Refund Policy, form the entire agreement between you and AUM Sound Healing Center and supersede any prior agreements.

14. Updates

We may update these Terms. The current version is always at this URL and we update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes are notified by email where we have one.
