Become a healer
Acquire the skill and knowledge to use the healing vibrations of gongs and singing bowls for physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.
Teaching sound at AUM is not a weekend retreat with a certificate. It is a slow, precise apprenticeship in how vibration touches a nervous system and what your job is when you hold the mallet. The same technique we pass to every cohort, the same room ethics, the same care for the guest lying on the floor.
By the end of your training you will have led real sessions in the ceremony hall, sat with real guests, and faced the moment every healer faces — when the room asks for something you did not plan. That moment is what the work prepares you for.

Instruments

Build a 60-minute gong journey from soft opening to full resonance and integration. Learn mallet technique, wave dynamics and how to read a room as the sound moves through it.

Tonal mapping, water and body placement, layered playing for groups. Understand which bowls belong to which part of the session and why.

Quartz bowl care, intervals and stacking. How to use sustained crystal tones to open and close a ceremony without overwhelming sensitive guests.

Mantra, drone and overtone basics. Your voice is the one instrument you always have — we teach you to use it without straining and to lead a group through chant.

Schedule
Next TTC dates: check Telegram for the next start. We open new cohorts roughly every 6–8 weeks, and they tend to fill within a fortnight of announcement.
Maximum 12 students per cohort. Advance booking is required — we do not accept walk-ins for teacher training, because every student gets hands-on time with the founding teacher and the room can only hold so much.

FAQ
A regular meditation, yoga or bodywork practice is enough. You do not need to have played an instrument before. What matters more is that you have sat with yourself long enough to know what stillness feels like.
Yes — a signed AUM Sound Healing Academy certificate of completion after the full 12 hours and the closing practical. It is not a government-issued license (no such license exists for sound healing) but it is recognised across the Phangan wellness scene.
You can hold gentle group sessions for friends and your own community the week after. We recommend a few months of practice before you start charging. The weekend immersion and private mentorship are designed for that next step.
All 12 hours of teaching, use of every instrument in the hall, a printed sequence booklet, a closing ceremony with the cohort, and lifetime alumni access. Tea is included during breaks. Accommodation and meals are not included — see below.
No. We can recommend nearby guesthouses and our own restaurant is open every evening from 17:00. Most students stay within a 10-minute scooter ride of the centre.
