1. General principle
We want you to be happy — if a session does not work for you, we would rather refund or credit you than have you feel stuck. Cancellation is a normal part of running a venue, and our rules below try to balance flexibility for you with the reality that we hold space, staff and resources when you book.
2. Cancellation windows
The cancellation window depends on what you booked.
Single sessions — sauna, sound healing, yoga drop-in
- 24 hours before the start time → full refund or credit at your choice.
- Less than 24 hours → the booking is forfeit. At staff discretion we may offer a 50% credit valid for 90 days.
Gong Night, Soul Connection, SoulFire, AUM Day
- 48 hours before the start time → full refund.
- Less than 48 hours → forfeit. These events have set capacity and a specific facilitator on call.
Multi-night programs (3-Night, 7-Night, immersions)
- 14 days before arrival → full refund minus a 10% admin fee.
- 7–14 days before arrival → 50% refund.
- Less than 7 days → forfeit.
Retreats (14-Night Founder Retreat, Couple Retreat)
Retreats have custom cancellation terms set out in your confirmation email. As a general guideline, the deposit is non-refundable once paid, and the balance is refundable up to 30 days before arrival. Specific dates always take precedence — read your confirmation carefully.
Training (Teacher Training Courses, immersion programs)
- 30 days before the start date → full refund minus a 1,000 THB administrative fee.
- Less than 30 days → forfeit, or transfer your seat to the next cohort at no extra cost.
3. No-show policy
If you do not arrive and do not contact us before the session, the booking is forfeit. No refund or credit is issued. We hold the space for you regardless of whether you turn up.
4. How refunds are processed
- Refunds are returned via the original payment method. Stripe refunds typically arrive within 5–10 business days.
- Cash bookings refunded at the venue or by bank transfer in THB; international bank fees are at your expense.
- Credits are issued as venue credit, valid 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are non-transferable.
- Currency-conversion losses on card refunds are not reimbursed — these depend on your card issuer.
5. Force majeure
If we have to cancel for reasons outside our control — cyclones, flooding, government orders, pandemic restrictions, prolonged power outage, ferry disruption preventing facilitators arriving — you receive a full refund or full credit at your choice.
If you cannot attend for similar reasons (cancelled flight, ferry cancellation with documentation, government-issued travel ban), we will issue a full credit valid 12 months. Refund instead of credit is at our discretion.
6. Health-based cancellation
If you cannot attend for documented health reasons (doctor's note or hospital discharge dated within 7 days of the session), we will issue a full credit valid for 12 months regardless of how close to the start time you cancel. Bring a translated note if it is not in English or Thai.
7. How to request a cancellation or refund
- Message us as early as you know — by Telegram @AumPhanganBot or email aumsoundcenter@gmail.com.
- Include your booking reference, the session date, and the reason if it affects the refund (health, force majeure).
- Tell us whether you prefer a refund or a credit — we default to credit unless you ask otherwise.
- We confirm in writing within 48 hours and process within 5 business days.
8. Disputes
If something goes wrong and you feel our policy does not cover it fairly, write to aumsoundcenter@gmail.com with subject “Refund Dispute”. We aim to resolve all disputes within 14 days. Unresolved disputes are subject to the governing-law clause in our Terms of Service.
